I never feel "competitive" with others in any aspect of my life. I never feel any need to “prove” anything to anyone. I don’t need to. Why should I? I’ve never felt the slightest hint of jealousy. And when I do see a talented person, I try to learn from them. Jealousy is counterproductive and does not help me to expand my horizons. I take pictures because it's fun. Not to keep a roof overhead. Not to get dates. Not to fulfill a burning passion. Not to put food on the table. Not to create meaningful art. Not to have publication bragging rights. But rather, to derive the simple pleasure of capturing moments in time. nothing more. My mom didn’t feed me any sugar until I was three years old, and I was raised with a completely organic/natural diet until I started to make friends at school and we realized my diet had to loosen up just a little for social reasons, as I couldn’t go anywhere or eat anything with my friends otherwise. Not to brag but I am a “natural” beauty...good luck finding that these days.
